credit costing the customer R450,
creates an effective discount of 10%
on all purchases. EasiPos deducts

A common method of printing kitchen orders is
via a standard Windows printer. If the printer is
in an “out of order” or “out of paper” state
when the print instruction is initiated, there is a
risk of the order not being printed - resulting in
lost orders, a disaster in the kitchen and
unhappy customers.
To prevent this from happening, EasiPos has an
ultra secure printing method which
communicates directly with the printer driver.
An “out of order” print status is immediately
communicated to the waiter, forcing the waiter
to accept the error message with a
confirmation.
Can the printer be fixed quickly? Assuming that
it cannot, EasiPos provides an alternative by
allowing the waiter to print the same “stalled”
kitchen docket to another kitchen printer
which can be predefined for this purpose.
If no other kitchen printer is available, EasiPos
allows you to print the same kitchen order
docket to your receipt printer.

An important aspect of modern
restaurant point of sale systems is the
ability to send printed F&B orders to
the various preparation stations.
The EasiPos system re-defines it.
Preparation orders are transmitted to
the relevant kitchen printers
immediately the server finalises the
guest’s order in real time.
Should a kitchen printer be out of
service, EasiPos simply reprints it to
another kitchen printer or even the
receipt printer to ensure that no orders
are lost ever!
The need for clear, concise and legible
kitchen order slips is also taken into
consideration. The examples on the left
speak for themselves.

To cover all requirements, EasiPos provides
three elegant ways of splitting bills.
Method 1 - The traditional way
Select the table / bill and navigate to the
panel with the split billing options (normally
the other functions panel) and select the
“Split Bill” Function. This action will bring up
the Split Bill panel. Touch the item to be
moved and touch the split bill on the right.
If you wish to split an individual item first,
touch the item and then select the number of
splits for this item (in our example we show
two). Now, both equal parts will be shown
on the original bill. Then move the one part to
the second bill as before.
When the splitting is completed, you have
created two bills, the original minus the split
(or transferred) items and the additional bill
with the added items. To finalise, select
either “OK” or “Print Bill” or “Close bill”.
If you wish to create a third or further split
bill, first close the current split bill and then
proceed with the original bill as before.

Method 2 The Equal Split or Sharing Bill
If the parties to a table would like an equal
sharing of the final bill, then EasiPos offers a
very quick and beautiful solution.

Select the table / bill and navigate to the
“Share Bill” function (normally found on
the other functions panel.

Next, select the Share Bill function. This will
be followed by another panel asking for the
number of equal sharers to be registered.

That’s it. EasiPos now prints the number of
requested bills and clearly indicates the
amount due by each sharer (In our example
we show 2 bills)

Method 3 The Group Table Off-Splitting
This method is of great value in
restaurants that seat different guests
together at very large tables or banks,
like beer halls.
In this instance, servers do not allocate
separate bill numbers to the different
parties, instead all orders are combined
together under a single table number.
When an individual party departs, the
same split bill panel for method one is
used - but with a slightly different twist.
Once the splitting off for a party or guest
is complete, the splitted off bill is
immediately finalised via the “Closed
Bill” function.
For this operation the use of an EasiPos
Mobile device (handheld terminal) is
highly recommended as it allows the
server to quickly complete the
transaction directly at the table.
Receipts can also be issued at the table If
the server is equipped with a mobile or
belt receipt printer.

How does it work?
Selected items and quantities are
linked to a specific course. Each
